We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service

First Tribe record in 18 year! Whoa now. After a few listens this is definitely a great record and a nice tribute to Phife.

  • Common

    Black America Again

After a few listens this is definitely the best Common record in years, maybe since Be. My one immediate negative takeaway is that, lyrically, Common seems angry about all the racial tension and police violence but only at a surface level. Like, it’s upsetting, but I don’t have solutions or really have anything to add to the conversation. The results are kind of a bland delivery devoid of passion. I’m kinda neutral on this record so far.

  • Saor

    Guardians

I’ve been a big fan of Saor since 2014’s Aura record. Their brand of atmospheric black metal meets Celtic folk accommodates a lot of music tastes.

  • Agnes Obel

    Citizen of Glass

I remember seeing heaps of praise for Agnes Obel’s 2013 release Aventine, and recall listening to it and not being an immediate fan of her vocals. I’m not sure what 2013 Joe was thinking, because in 2016 I find everything bout this record to be phenomenal; from her excellent vocals, thoughtful and elaborate compositions to flat-out cello love. This record is all kinds of awesome.
